Good Job Steve!

I was never a Mac fan, nor an iPhone user or an iPad junkie but I was always a Steve Jobs admirer. I was always in wonderment at his singular ability to create, to imagine, to envision.

Apple  today announced the death of Steve P. Jobs — who co-founded Apple Inc. and whose legacy included the Apple II, Macintosh, iMac, iPod, iPhone and the iPad amoung dozens of other innovations. 

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," Apple said. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."

I never met Steve Jobs but his work habits were legendary.   Energetic, incisive, driven, creative and visionary were just a few of the adjectives you read of him but the man was even more.   He knew he was dying.  He knew that his life’s work would be all that was left in a few short years.  So, what did he do?  Did he “Protest” his competition for almost driving him out of business a few years ago or did he whine about how hard and unjust life and the times were or ask the government to help him out?  

No,  Steve Jobs was the elite of the elite.  He was in the game!.  His passion was to create, to build and in the end to change how almost every human on the face of the earth lives, works and communicates. 

Steve Jobs lived in an environment, the computer industry, that was dynamic, creative and driven and he not only matched but outperformed and led the field and set the scale that the rest of the industry aspired to best. 

An entrepreneur and inventor on par with the likes of Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Gram Bell,  Steve Jobs Co-Founded Apple, Inc.,  developed, one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series.

In the early 1980s, then he took Apple to create the Macintosh  

  whose avid fans even today covet their “Macs”, then he left Apple and formed NeXT and developed a computer platform aimed at higher-education and the business market only to get Apple to acquire NeXT and bring him back into Apple, Inc.,  he acquired Lucasfilm Ltd and spun it off as Pixar Animation Studios.  He remained Apples CEO and majority shareholder until it’s acquisition by The Walt Disney Company in 2006,  creating the iPhone,

the iPod, the iPad and changing the way just about everybody on the planet works, dreams and communicates in one way or the other.
